Thanks for your interest in the KJ7 Education Foundation\u2019s Teaching Resource Grants!<\/strong><\/p>\n

These grants enable educators and administrators in District #283 to utilize new methods, equipment, materials, and strategies to help students learn and succeed in school.<\/p>\n

General Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Teaching Resource Grants provide funds for the purchase of supplies and equipment for these programs\/projects which are beyond the regular school budget. We are specifically interested in programs\/projects that have not been offered or used in your classroom, grade, subject matter areas, or building.<\/p>\n

Grant Cycle:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The grants are available year-round. Limit one per year per teacher although groups of teachers may apply together, regardless of if an individual teacher has already received a grant for the year.<\/p>\n

Grant Award Amounts are based on the education quality of the proposed program\/project and the opportunity to introduce a new or<\/strong> different approach to instruction and learning.\u00a0 Be aware that an award may only cover a portion of the total project cost.<\/p>\n

Our intent is to award:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Grants up to $500<\/strong> to individual teacher-initiated programs or projects.<\/li>\n
  • Grants up to $1000<\/strong> for programs or projects initiated by teams, departments or the school district.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong>Grant Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Complete proposals include the sections<\/strong>:<\/strong> 1) Application 2) Budget 3) Grant Report. The Grant Report is to be submitted at the conclusion of the project and helps to account for our investment in your program.<\/li>\n
    • The Proposal Budget: <\/strong>should detail all expenses related to the project. Note: all supplies and equipment purchased entirely or partially with the Teaching Resource Grant funds are the property of the District.<\/li>\n
    • Grant funds must be spent within one year.<\/strong> The Grant Report must be submitted before the grant recipient(s) can apply for another grant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
